    1993, thanks AB388!
20,000,000 units by the year 2000, too bad it didn't happen, the music media business was wild during those years. It's interesting how the music industry hated recording devices but a few years later digital music files and players came out making it extremely easy with the internet going high-speed.

Stereo Review 1995, cool looking deck, I wonder if Technics also had DAT, Panasonic did but did they brand one Technics?

    A neato Sony!
First time I've seen this with a DAC, this is heavy duty looking, I think it says 69,800 Yen just for the TCD-D7 and another 40,000 Yen for the DAC

1992, yes, want a Marantz DCC! How rare do you think they are?

1988 ETI Magazine. We wanted it but the record companies didn't, the Politics Section is interesting and the record companies pretty much delayed this product in the USA for years at least for home consumers.

Casio never struck me as a cassette player company but they were very early in on DAT, from Stereo 1988. I've seen the other Casio Model but never this one.

From 1994, some Denon DAT, Denon really embraced the digital formats.

1994, I bet these are hard to find! I'll take one of the cars while I'm at it.
