I was doing some internet surfing and found an interesting unit, the Sony LX-1K. It looks like a mini-boombox with a tiny built in speaker but it has the ability to mate with two different speaker options and a turntable. The speakers on the bottom are one piece and might connect to the main unit?
It ended going for decent money, thankfully cuz I forgot to bid on it. Thanks for pointing it out, they are pretty rare.
