Hi all, I have been having some trouble accessing the site recently with a couple of different errors. I just wanted to make sure everything was good and they were just random outages or maintenance perhaps. Or in fact that it wasn't just me? Being from Australia, I do tend to access it in the middle of the night, and upside down at that!
I think we're back! I couldn't get in either for two days, I was getting a "too many requests error" whatever that means. There's been some spam, which is normal, and a ton of members logging in which was very odd.
Actually, after I created this post I was getting the "too many requests" error, although I think I have got at least one other error too, that sadly I didn't write down as I figured it was just going to be a one off. I will let you know if I have any more issues. In a way it is good to know that it is not just something I am experiencing, which sometimes happens possibly due to my VPN.
So after successfully creating another post, I got a "504 Gateway Timeout" when trying to return to the homepage. Refreshing did eventually bring the homepage up again. It kind of feels like a DDoS attack, although I can't imagine why anyone would target this site. I could imagine AI scraping all the info though, so it can give it incorrectly and out of context to the next person using Google search.
