    350,000 yen = $3716.00 USD Today!

Thanks for the work, it sounds like this is rare and highly valuable. Even with minimal design it still looks great, I'm still wondering what the TT is?

It appears to be the PS-X 9. Another cool ¥380,000! Even has a (wired) remote control!

I'm not sure what Battersea Power Station has to do with anything, are they trying to draw some Pink Floyd vibes? Chage and Aska later fell out of favour when one of them was arrested for drug possession. They are probably best know in the west for the song On Your Mark that had a music video written and directed by Miyazaki and animated by Studio Ghibli.

I don't know 99% of the groups or idols they use but a handful seem to be more popular and I'll look up a song or two on YT. It's too bad the west didn't have more groups advertising portables, I can see Diamond Dave plugging some big box, he had the world's longest in one of his videos.

Most of the bands never caught on over here but now were seeing a trickling come through, bands like Band-Maid, Shonen Knife and Baby Metal have tried to tap into the market but have been playing mostly clubs.

Babymetal played John Cain Arena here in Melbourne, which can seat 11,000 depending on the setup. Sadly I found out about it 2 days after it happened. :cry

You have to go to somewhat dodgier parts of the internet to see the actual MV.

Actually, found it on Vimeo which might be a bit better.

1978, I love this style with cassette and CB, still haven't seen one up close yet.
