While I love boxes and the seemingly bigger interest and availability of brand new models today, it's like Dee Snider used to say, "Heavy Metal ain't coming back". It does look like the portable box style is gaining traction in some other configurations and I feel like putting something like an Alexa Speaker in a boombox configuration might be a positive step. Here's a couple more new ones with a lot of different styling poured into them. These would have been pretty cool years ago with a tape deck in the middle. One I would not mind having is the tree-way TDK (don't remember the actual model name)... I know, not analogue but looking nice!
I've kind of had my eye on the TDK, it's a little older, I think 2011 but I haven't heard anything bad yet about them and they went for pretty good money when they were new. They pop up for sale locally once in a great while but they're at a price point where there's a ton of cool stuff in the same range.
