I stumbled on the site from an interest in portable CD players, from the nineties or later. I have several working good ones at this point, so not trying to collect any more. I got back into listening to my volumous (?) CD collection by playing the actual discs a few years ago, rather than just ripping them to listen on DAPs, which I also still do. Lately rediscovered CD-R discs, too. As, they are still a good value. Very cool to see photos and read discussions of many vintage portable cd & cassette players here! So many I had no idea about from back then.
Welcome to the forum! I was the same way 18 years ago, I found an AIWA at the thrift and internet research got me to the Pocket Calculator Show which lead here. This forum was around back then but with hosting changes a lot of stuff was lost, some is above in the Old_forum tab. I soon discovered that there were 1000's of different models and some were very high-tech with silly money price tags. Feel free to post your stuff, I still buy CDs when I find them, I'm seeing it getting popular again over several forums.
