to get a proper answer you need to provide some details:
what model is your AIWA? certain models are extremely difficult to repair or even change the belt
When you place the battery do you hear any motor movement or noise?? does the light turn on?
Certain walkman models come with a radio option. Does the radio work?
Capacitors are the major issues in certain AIWA walkmans.
Please provide more detail to get better answer :old:

For the Aiwa: You'd likely need a new belt and a speed adjustment- which is done via a reference 3khz speed tape, output connected to your computer with a software frequency counter. A quality speed tape can be bought on ebay, or be made yourself using a recording deck with a known good speed (quartz locked direct drive decks are good for this).
However, the DIY speed tape is dependent on the accuracy of that deck. The easier but somewhat janky method is to buy a pre-recorded tape with a song you're familiar with and set the speed to ear, comparing with a digital version of that song. The speed adjustment pot is usually near the motor leads.

For the Sony, it might either be a model with 5mv output, or may need capacitor replacement, or broken jack/vol pot. What model is it?

There are many Sony sport walkmans. Which model is yours?

You can always find professional people to repair your walkmans, BUT for certain models its better not to pay for repair since the repair cost is more than buying another Walkman in working condition.
The professional technicians are mostly located in Europe. Minimum shipping fee to Europe for a walkman sent by USPS certified mail is $55 (UPS and Fedex are much higher).
Now add the return shipment fee and the repair cost.

anyway, These are the members who are very adept/ skilled at electronic repair: @Sergi , @mihokm , @Doctor Walkman and can accept your walkman to fix it but you have to be very patient since many members are in waiting list.
