Hi ya, Question, How can one improve the sound quality of a boombox.
If u have a boombox & would like to make it louder what can be done to do so?
For me I would put better quality speakers & tweeters with big chrome caps.

I guess your right, But I have a Panny 6400 & sounds very good, However I order a pair of Sansui speakers with 6 ohms 25 watts each with big chrome caps. Can to install them to hear how it sounds. I was thinking also putting padding inside the case. Thanks RR.

Question, The original speakers are 4 ohms at 12 watts. Can I replace those witha pair of Sansui 8 ohm at 25 watts?

In answer to you're question, yes but the box wouldn't be quite as loud due to the higher ohms on the new speakers:wink:

I just found a pair of Conion C-100F woofers 5.4 ohms @15 watts.
I will try these to see how they sound. Thanks a million man.

    Hiya! :)
AFAIK, damping of cabinet and speakers + increase of speakers' rigidity with
struts etc., may also help improve sound quality especially at high levels.
