received an Aiwa this morning. Previous owner must have loved his/her torque because one of the screws needed to remove the casework is stripped. Totally.

Any thoughts or tips on how to best remove?

Do you mean the screw head or thread ?

If a crosshead screw head is stripped it is always worth trying a variety of screwdrivers in case one gets more grip.
If that fails you could try and cut a slot in the head with something like a Dremmel.
If all else fails you could drill the head off then having undone the unit unscrew the remnants with a pair of pliers.

If the thread has gone try unscrewing while (carefully) using something like the tip of a knife to under the edge of the screw head to lever is upwards.

Of course other people might have better techniques.

Decided to drill it out with a precision drill used for modelling. Problem sorted. Thanks
