the key to this one longman is the xbs as well as the bass slider, some of them did not have the xbs and were not worth having imho

I love the m90 but even to me it is only entry level, there are so many better sounding boxes from the 90's i remember when dd9's were £50 and d6c...
check the micro switches also check there is power getting to the motors, also spin the flywheel to reset the deck as it may be suck half way
if it's phillips i can guarantee you the cogs on the deck will need replacing, sorry to be the bearer of bad news
