Hi, The motor governor chip in my HS-P05 is broken and sends straight battery voltage out of the output. The schematic for this model doesn't describe this board in any detail and I don't know what the chip is. If anyone knows what this 8 pin IC is and if you can buy it, please let me know
Hi, The IC is a LA5524 (https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/110618/SANYO/LA5524.html) and can be found on ebay. But I would personally check other things first, before replacing the IC. I see that the 2 trim pots cursors are not in contact with the carbon traces, so rotating them to a position where they make contact and also clean them with some contact cleaner is what I would try first. Also, there is a ceramic capacitor at the top of the picture that might not be ok from what it looks like. Measure it to confirm it's not shorted. Good luck with your repair !
