Well, not really a boombox since it has no cassette but this oddball from Hitachi has a special feature. It receives in stereo but can only play back in mono unless you release the special feature, it can transmit the 2nd channel to another radio on it's FM band! The Perdisco 1000, or KS-1000W, the dials were probably pretty cool back in 1972 and it has the look of a boombox with buttons that are for functions and not the tape deck. The strap handles are a nice feature but sadly this goes for next to nothing over on yahoo.jp. This photo was a very recent listing it went for around $10 USD.
