I have a soft spot for what seem to be the executive or desk type of personal cassette players. For a few years in the late 70's and early 80's there were these little tiny players that weren't quite boomboxes and not cool enough to be walkmans. The design cues are the same, antenna, mono-cassette, piano keys, am/fm, tape counter, speaker, external mic.

With my limited research on these low production models, it seems they had high build qualities and they went for a few hundred USD's, sometimes more than the top end portable players. I can't find any information on the Sanyo M600, judging by the build, I'd say around 79-80, it's very similar to the JVC MR 200 behind it, which may be the first of this style.

I like lights and the power/batt/tune lights are outstanding, I can't remember if I've seen a player this small with a tune light. The sliders need some cleaning so I can't tell how well the TONE works but it sounds like most of them with it's little speaker.

Hope you guys enjoy, now I have to get back to some paperwork......
