Hello from Chennai, India! Electronics Engineer searching for a National/Panasonic RX-F35F

Hi everyone,

I’m an electronics engineer based in Chennai, India, and I’m excited to join the Stereo2Go community. I’ve recently decided to dive into the world of vintage audio restoration, combining my professional background with a very meaningful personal project.

I am actively searching for a National (Panasonic) RX-F35F boombox (the international/export variant). My father bought this exact model 41 years ago when I was just a toddler, and it became the soundtrack to our family's home—we even used it to record my younger sibling's first words. Sadly, he passed away last year, and the original unit is long gone. My goal is to find an RX-F35F, restore it to its former glory if needed, and place it back in his home as a tribute to him.

Since I am an electronics engineer, I’m more than happy to take on a unit that needs mechanical work, a deep clean, recapping, or belt replacements.

If anyone has an RX-F35F they are willing to part with, or if you have any leads on where I might track one down globally or locally, please let me know. Looking forward to learning from you all and sharing my restoration journey once I find the right unit!
