Hello! I am long-time lurker of this forum, but today i finally decided to join. I love all formats and aspects of audio, and i collect a lot of them (CDs, Vinyls, Cassettes, Digital) and i have a large collection as a 18yr old! My first stereo is an AKAI stereo setup that my grandfather bought in the early 80s (Tuner, Cassette, Amplifier) and a Pioneer record player. It still works to this day, and i recently cleaned and fixed the AKAI CS-F11 cassette player, although the FF-RW doesn't work for some strange reason. Another piece of my collection is the Technics SL-XP7 CD player, with the original powersupply and battery add-on (which is missing the cover).
Welcome! It's a great hobby, most of us older members used to lust after these units as kids when they were brand new but super-expensive. The hunt, cleaning and fixing and then cranking music loud is one of my favorite things to do.
