Hi All, It's a long story. For the last while I've been nose to the grindstone to finish my mortgage off and sort out various things. (I finally own my own home! What a feeling after all that hard work!) I also care for my Mother who has been through some serious hoops and just when we thought we were getting on top of things, the dreaded C word made an appearance, so we're dealing with that. However, I now have some things sorted out in my little home office... which actually means that my tape deck and turntable are actually in a position to be used easily. I now have access to my walkman collection which I can start to catch up on as only a third of them are repaired and functioning. The electronics workbench is still jammed with stuff I have to find a home for, but it's all within reach. I estimate being able to pick things up again in about a month, maybe a little longer depending on work. But fundamentally... I'm back, baby! Michelle.
Thank you for the welcomes. After a change in the office I have my tape deck, tapes, vinyl and turntable much more easily accessible, but funnily enough I seem to be going to the tapes more than the records. Can't figure why.
With you on tapes over vinyl - for me, it's the sheer effort of finding tapes these days that makes them all the more worthwhile.
