Portable Cassette Player Newspaper Ads!

Lafayette (Electronics Store) with an early model from 1971. We didn't have a store by me so I have no idea what they looked like, they sure had a great selection of audio equipment and parts.

 

1988, nothing too exciting, they sold the heck out of the JVC's, I used to see those at the thrifts almost daily. Nice model just not too exciting, the Sanyo sports Model is much nicer.

Panasonic from 1984, wow, the RX-F33 is expensive but I love this one and it's single well brother, they are nice little rug-rats.

1984, both GE and Pansonic were milking the basic but very boombox looking models

 

1984, I think that's a nice little basic Sanyo portable, if it's similar to mine it has a strange transport with a sliding FWD/REW like a dictation might have. Maxell, my favorite tape cuz they were everywhere and they always had BOGO (buy one, get one free). $2.99 was slightly less then minimum wage at $3.35/hr. Now in some places minimum wage is $15.00/hr, imagine paying that for a tape?
