Indeed very interesting designs ,it seems people appreciated bright colours back then ,thanks for posting them.
No worries! It was a fascinating exhibition of all things made of plastic. Well worth a visit! http://adamuseum.be/plasticarium/
They were definitely into funky colours and designs in the 1970s, except for large TVs which came in wood finish boxes (apart from the white ones and the amazing Keracolor). http://collection.sciencemuseum.org.uk/objects/co8413080/keracolor-sphere-tv-set-television Going back to the first set of pictures the Weltron 8 track sphere was also available as a Prinzsound from Dixons. They sometimes appear on Ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eight-Tr...079682?hash=item4b38c67e02:g:hWsAAOSw-ZBZpAAQ My Mother bought the red version of the blue Philips record player brand new, but left it at the school where she taught when she retired "so the next teacher could use it". I now have the blue version. I must try and get it working properly. I have never seen the one with fold out speakers before. National Panasonic, who I'm sure we are all familiar with, came up with an equal number of Funky designs in the 1970s https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=p...h=722#imgrc=lAroqt1X_GpcnM:&spf=1522872750934 and https://blogs.panasonic.com.au/consumer/it-looks-like-a-detonator-it-sounds-like-dynamite/ while JVC specialised in Funky TVs (I have three of these but all in poor condition) https://www.google.co.uk/search?biw....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..0.9.746....0.W3KIipM1q58 Funny how manufacturers now seem to think that we want radios and record players in wooden or leatherette cases looking as if they came from the 1960s.
Cool equipment, back then they strived to be different, now-a-days everything seems to be a copy and there's very little variations.
