That is a strange looking Hitachi 3D. A couple of members here will be looking for that one. Maybe they could tell you when it was released. The first sighting of a Hitachi 3D in the Argos catalogue was 1987
Fisher is really hit or miss, looking at the big one I'm thinking it's light weight. I've never seen or touched that model so I have no idea just taking a guess. Over here in the 80's they sold a ton of all-in-one stereos that were total garbage so it's surprising to see some high-quality boxes from them (and I own a few).

Neat stuff ianthepostie, I'm surprised to see the Black and Decker Blue Line of tools, over here they were all orange and you can see they are very similar to Bosch Blue (which is still blue).
