    This thread covers the repair of WM-DD series (WM-DD, WM-DDII, WM-DDIII, WM-DD30, WM-DD33, WM-D3, WM-DD100, WM-DC2) takeup reel support repair.

It's a common problem found on most center gear DDs, so it's something to be checked whenever such a mechanism gets serviced.
Checking it implies removing the mechanism from the chassis, otherwise the problem won't be visible.

Repair is very straight forward, implying just cleaning the mating surfaces and glueing them with super glue.
Then clean the excess glue and clamp the support to the metal chassis.

NOTE 1: At the same time, inspect the reel for cracks. If any, when reinstalling the shaft glue it to the reel.
Glue should be added inside the reel, not on the shaft, otherwise it will get into the bushing when pressing.
NOTE 2:Same goes with the hex, in this case if cracked it should be replaced.
