I've seen early serial number TPS-L2s on Ebay lately that look a little off. Three of my eight TPS-L2s have five digit serial numbers and the numbers are centered under the text "SERIAL NO." The 5 digit serial number alignment on the Ebay Walkmans are offset to the right. It's almost like the first number of a six digit serial number was removed. Am I imagining this? Are there ways to validate the serial number stickers or was the manufacturing variability to great? THX.
