Here is a comparison video. I don't think the Diamond boxx has a equalizer and in this video I don't know if the exos has it's equalizer on. The price tag on a diamond boxx is around $850. I think these portable boxes are made to be taken to outdoor activites. I get a little nervous taking an expensive box outdoors..

So roughly the diamond box costs more than twice an Aiwa, which means that if you want to compare db per $ you get the better deal in the Exos. How about comparing what 850 bucks can produce db wise, eg one diamond box versus 2 aiwas put together....

You took the words right out of my mouth. And you can read some of the comments on the video. Actually you can buy two exos and still have $250 left over for a m70  Is it only me or is there something wrong with this comparison video above?

Good point James..I have two Exos and I have the Rx A2. The Rx a2 will last about Two hours on batteries and everyone know the price of D cell batteries. The exos comes with a rechargeable battery that will last up to 12 hours. The Panny Rx a2 is louder than the exos but It's twice it's size. And trust me It's not louder by alot. Two Exos blows the Panny out the water. Let's make one thing clear. The exos is dispensible to me and My panny is  going with me to the grave. You don't own an exos so your assuming. It's obvious in the Video above that the person doing the comparison is an employee of Diamond Boxx. First It makes a big difference if the equalizer is ON and the treble and bass are on high. And we don't know if the exos is plugged in to the wall outlet for more power. The Diamond boxx doesn't have mid range speakers.

I'll just say that I am old school and when you are at camp or out in the wild with the exos and it runs out of juice you cant just during the beer run get more batteries/power for you box like I can get D's for the RX-A2 .... oh yeah the rx-a2 has a radio in it too where as the exos needs a another battery device to give it sound as well so that is 2 device's that need special plugs and sources for their power renewal.

Whining about the cost of d batteries ( old school - it's a given ) I don't.

The RXA2 may be loud, but it only puts out 15 watts per channel on batteries.  Dunno what it puts out on AC.  Regardless, its bass isn't all that impressive IMO.  A Kaboom smokes it for bass.

The build quality on the Diamond looks nice, but thick boxes with 90 degree edges aren't fun to carry.  Also the woofers should be bigger for better looks.

Kaboom bass true inside, but outside the RXA2 rules.
