Sony ZX7 vs Sansui FX700R round 2

...or the mini showdown

Ever since I have seen this topic:

I wanted these boxes for myself.

Now I do. And I absolutely love them.

Thanks to our good member Hardmen, the Sansui traveled half way around the globe, from Brazil to Romania to meet the Sony.

While the Sansui is a 3 piecer, the Sony is not

While the Sansui has a handle, Sony does not.

I could not choose a winner between these boxes. Both are very well engineered, and the build quality is amazing, but Sony is better at this point.

For design, I think the Sansui is better balanced, his lines "flow" more naturally, while the Sony is a little more serious, and those APM speakers sure look the part.

The Sansui has autoreverse (actually, I will need to see to that, it lacks belts) while Sony does not, but the amount of features on both of the boxes can make a full sized box blush.

I do not own the legendary Sanyo minis, however I do not believe these two can be beaten by them. For me, these two are the ultimate minis.

Actually, James, I think that Sansui in pieces that you have looks like a different model, a  fx 500 which I did not even know it existed. When I was referring to the "legendary Sanyo minis" I was thinking mainly of the M7900 and the one you posted in February - the M7830. At least these are the ones that I would buy at a certain point and if the price was right.

@Michiel -yes, that Panny RX C50 looks awesome, I like the red lines shadowing the speakers...I will keep them in mind, Panasonic is one of my favorite brands. You know what else would look great near that ZX7? a ZX5 and a ZX3   in case you ever change your mind
